Martial Arts Aspirations

When I was a kid, I wanted to learn Karate, but my father refused to let me join a Karate class. After starting to work, I did join a Taekwondo class. Since my work schedule was terrible in those days, I could not cope up and had to quit practicing Taekwondo.

While visiting the Osho Meditation Resort, I took few lessons in Tai Chi. Yogendra used to conduct Tai Chi classes every morning. Whenever I visited Pune, I would make it a point to attend this class.

Later on in 2004, I joined a Tai Chi class at Andheri. After two months of practice I had to relocate to UK on work.

Since then it was always in the back of my mind to resume practicing some form of martial art. Last year I learnt about the dojo Aikido of Bombay. Brian Reverman, a 5th Dan in Aikido holds regular classes here. I have started practicing Aikido at this dojo since January.
