I hear that the Volkswagen Polo, to be launched in India in early 2010, will get a new horn, different from the one used in the European cars. This horn has been tested for 500,000 honks. How very thoughtful of the company to consider the insatiable honking needs of their Indian consumers.

A horn with a sensor that detects the traffic signal and explodes when honked at red signals. It should explode with a bang so that the hapless pedestrians can applaud!
A horn that gets deactivated on continuous honking when nothing calamitous is occurring on the road. The trigger happy driver may be given an option of having it activated by paying a hefty fine at the designated traffic police outposts.
